Themed Healthy China, Healthy Sichuan, the 8th U.S.-China Health Summit will gather together more than 800 leaders from the governments, academia, healthcare and biomedical industries for exchange of information and ideas, and for exploring collaborating opportunities, especially in Sichuan Province, which, with a population of 92 million, is keen on promoting healthy people and health industry as priority. The Summit will cover a wide range of themes such as “How to Shift from Volume to Value”, “How to Ensure Affordability, efficiency & Quality of Care”, “Novel Approaches to Healthcare Delivery & Payment Reform'', “How to “Prioritizing Mental Health & Elderly Care in China” etc.

This summit was committed to the goal of ‘Healthy China’ and focused on innovative healthcare deliver models, cutting edge medical and health technology, precision and holistic medicine, etc.

This year's summit gave a comprehensive review of healthcare reforms in the U.S. and China and discussed technological and systemic innovation. 

The summit provided a platform for discussions among health sector leaders to tackle challenges in health care reform, hospital development and innovation, food and drug security, non-communicable diseases, aging societies and palliative care, big data and e-health.

The summit was held during the celebration of the centennial anniversary of the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.

Over 500 health officials from China and the U.S. gathered to examine successful achievements and lessons learned in healthcare reforms around the world and to exchange information on their own efforts.
